Two double bedroom two reception Victorian terrace with south facing 42ft rear garden and first floor bathroom. One of the larger homes on the road, this property does need some internal upgrading but would be a perfect first home or investment buy. Ideally located off Brook Road, between Moorland Road shops and Lower Bristol Road bus routes. Unrestricted on road parking, some double glazing, plenty of exposed floorboards but refurbishment required to bathroom and kitchen plus central heating needed. No chain. Sole Agents.
From our office, proceed down Moorland Rd and cross the railway onto Brook Road. Turn right into South View Road and the property will be found on the right.
Historical Notes – South View Road first appears in street directories in 1892-3, with Nos1 – 27 and 42 – 50 built. The rest of the homes are then listed from 1894 onwards. However, Paul De’Ath’s excellent Bath photo collection books suggest he found records earlier than this – he states “the road was started in 1881, although the south side was not complete until 1885”.
In 1894, the house in question was the home of Francis Lee (profession variously listed as labourer or boxmaker).
