May Bath property market data

The Anglo-Saxon name for May was Tri-Milchi, in recognition of the fact that with the lush new Spring grass cows could be milked three times a day. May superstitions include it is unlucky to get married during the month, cats born in May would not be good rodent catchers and you should neither buy a broom or wash blankets in May. On the 6th May in 1840, the world’s first postage stamp (the Penny Black) became valid for use in the UK although the first recorded use in posting of a Penny Black was from the Bath Post Office in Broad St on the 2nd May.

Anyway, enough of the past. Apart from today being both Star Wars Day and also voting day for the South West Metro Mayor, its time for our regular update on Bath property statistics. As usual, we’ve included comparison figures from our last report (late March 2017) for info.
