Stock rising but no sign of sales slowing
Welcome to our latest round-up of local property stats and headlines. Whilst we bask in the current heatwave and listen to Michael Buble from the Crescent lawns, we’ve also been researching the latest trends in the Bath property market. Bath property market headlines
- Stock levels are on the rise – there is 23% more property currently available in Bath vs our May 2022 figures. However, in comparison to July 2021, overall stock levels remain over 25% down and the graph below illustrates how low stock has fallen since pre-pandemic levels
- Typical time on market (median) for Bath properties is 23 days, which is 16% faster than July 2021
- Semi detached homes are the fastest selling property type, followed by terraces. Flats are taking 38% longer to sell than any other property type
- Properties in the 200k – 300k range have seen a serious increase in speed of sale over the last month (40% reduction in selling time vis any of the preceding 6mths and resulting in a 12.5% drop in supply in this range vis May 2022).
