Dating from the early 19th century, this limestone ashlar terrace of thirteen homes is Grade II listed and a remarkable example of Regency architecture in a predominantly Victorian suburb. The road plan and names in this area have changed considerably over time - this rank was once called East Twerton Terrace and the younger opposite rank was Denmark Terrace. At the western end of the road, Gladstone Terrace ran at right angles facing onto South View Road whereas what is now the green and childrens play area to the east was occupied by Summerlays Place/Cottages/Buildings. By 1895, the residents of this section of the road were;

- Frank Bristow (signalman)

- Albert Chamberlain (clerk)

- Frederick Everard (plasterer)

- William Leslie (watchman)

- Tom Reeve (cabinet maker)

- Thomas Raymond (pensioner)

- Thomas Knowles (labourer)
