This Grade II listed terrace, the design of which may be attributable to Charles Harcourt Masters, was built circa 1800 - 1804. The first appearance of this building in city directories was in 1805 as Miss Aldrit's Ladies Boarding School. However, the finest name we found in the list of occupiers was Elphinstone Maclagan (gentleman), who lived at the property in 1846 after a RN Lieutenant Charles Jackson.

Tenure is long leasehold (999yr residue) and the building is self managed by the residents.
